How it works

• Install the extension from the latest release.
• Open XVGold and go to a supported video page.
• Start playback so the extension can detect the media.
• Open the popup or use the on-page controls.
• Choose the quality option you want.
• Start the download and wait for the MP4 export to finish.
• Save the final file locally.

Supported formats

• Input: Video sources exposed by the page player, including direct MP4 links and HLS streams when available
• Output: MP4
• Saved files use MP4 so they are easier to replay on standard media players, move between devices, or archive locally.

Troubleshooting

• No media detected on the page Make sure the video player has started playing. The extension needs the page to expose media sources, which often happens after the player initializes.
• Download does not start Check that you have trial downloads remaining or an active license. Also verify that your internet connection is stable.
• Quality options are missing Some pages only expose a single media source. The extension will show whatever options the page provides.
• The popup does not open Refresh the page and try again. If the issue persists, reinstall the extension from the latest release.
• File does not play after download Make sure you have a media player that supports MP4 files. Most modern players and devices handle this format natively.
