How it works

• Install the extension from the latest release.
• Open Xgroovy and go to a supported video page.
• Start playback so the extension can detect the media.
• Open the popup or use the on-page controls.
• Choose the quality option you want.
• Start the download and wait for the MP4 export to finish.
• Save the final file locally.

Supported formats

• Input: Direct MP4 URLs and HLS/M3U8 streams when exposed by XGROOVY pages, player scripts, or metadata
• Output: MP4
• Saved files use MP4 so they are easier to replay on standard media players, move between devices, or archive locally.

Troubleshooting

• No media detected on the page Start playback first. XGROOVY player scripts often reveal media only after the video initializes or begins playing.
• Download does not start Check that you have an active internet connection and that the video is still available on the page. Try refreshing the page and starting playback again.
• Quality options are limited The extension can only show formats that the XGROOVY page exposes. If only one quality is detected, that is what the source provides.
• Popup does not appear Make sure you are on a supported XGROOVY video page. The extension activates only on matching xgroovy.com URLs.
• Trial downloads are not working Verify that you have completed the email sign-in process. The trial resets per device and requires authentication through the shared SERP flow.
