How it works

• Install the extension from the latest release.
• Open Xcafe and go to a supported video page.
• Start playback so the extension can detect the media.
• Open the popup or use the on-page controls.
• Choose the quality option you want.
• Start the download and wait for the MP4 export to finish.
• Save the final file locally.

Supported formats

• Input: Direct MP4 files or HLS streams exposed by the Xcafe player on supported pages
• Output: MP4
• Saved files use MP4 so they are easier to replay on standard media players, move between devices, or archive locally.

Troubleshooting

• The extension does not detect any media on the page Make sure the video is playing on the Xcafe page. Some players only expose media URLs after playback has started. Try refreshing the page and pressing play again.
• The download button does not appear Check that you are on a supported Xcafe video page and that the extension is installed correctly. Try reloading the page after installing.
• Downloads are slow or fail to complete Your internet connection may be unstable. Try reducing the quality option if available, or restart the download. Large files may take longer to process.
• The popup shows no formats available The video may use a format that is not currently supported. Try a different video page to confirm the extension is working, and check for updates in the latest release.
• I get an error about permissions Make sure the extension has the necessary permissions to access Xcafe pages and download files. Reinstall the extension if permission prompts were dismissed.
